The Light Princess, McDonald’s heroine, who was indeed light-footed and light-bodied, could afford to be light-headed, or light-minded, or even light-fingered or light-(h)aired, and possibly wrong-headed and yet be perfectly happy with this.. But we cannot afford this. Not in this world.
So then, we’ll be taking a light-hearted, yet level-headed, sober-headed and clear-headed pose. And we will be looking at the world around us. We’ll be checking the bookstores, the internet (which is indeed around, as we carry it in our pockets or handbags) and the classrooms, in search of people and events that could inspire us.
