The rising stars of novels and comics can find a welcoming haven on the Rogue Animal as the website’s main goal is to promote writers of traditional novels, short stories and graphic novels. Even if the website was created last year in 2019, it has gathered a handful of promising writers. The online library has three main categories for comics, books and mature content. The owners’ desire is to gather a variety of genres and concepts, like horror, Sci Fi, fantasy, mystery, comedy, poetry, action, drama, romance both straight and LGBTQ. They are currently encouraging creators to submit their good quality pieces of work.

The website’s first page is a little cluttered. However, as the visitor starts browsing the various categories, he can get a better grip of the available content. There are over 30 authors in the dedicated list page, but the downside is that their names are not associated with the works they have created. In order to offer additional content to the readers, the website Rogue Animal offers a blog, a forum, the Hidden Gems talk show and the online magazine Rogue Reader. The forum can be accessed only if the reader creates an account, whereas the blog is more of an announcement area. Accessing the talk show can be done from an external link and the magazine Rogue Reader has only two issues, but it is a promising beginning.

Books Sections

In terms of accessibility, Rogue Animal offers average reading experience on desktops and has major problems on mobile devices. Because they use the Wix PDF, the books are almost inaccessible on smartphones and tablets. This is a bug known to the owners and they are trying to find a solution for it.

All in all, the cradle that Michael and Joe have created at Rogue Animal has great potential of development. As it currently is a website in its infancy, the chances are that they will develop further, offering pleasurable reading experience and a chance for new writers to reach their audience.
